Hiking or Camping? Check out some of these Amazon essentials
Personally, as summer is upon us with autumn coming up soon after, this is peak hiking season. I am here to present to you some camping essentials on amazon that I have found. Over many, many trips I have forgotten some essentials at times which truly taught me (sometimes in very punishing ways) what is a must.
Tent:
The Coleman Tent Darwin is a very well priced tent that has only been good and reliable to me. It’s technology makes it so helpful during rainy conditions as it’s completely waterproof whilst remaining very well ventiliated. It is lightweight which is ideal for hiking as it isn’t an absolute burden to carry. I certainly recommend it to beginners due to the fact it so easy to set up which a lot of beginners and I struggled with.
Air Mattress:
The HiiPeak Sleeping Pad for me is just a simple, well-priced air mattress. It is designed for camping trips and it really does do it’s job really well. It also has an in built pump which is more convenient then ever. The HiiPeak Sleeping Pad features an ergonomic design which really helps distribute the weight evenly which is often a problem with a lot of other air mattresses. I’ve used it on multiple trips and it doesn’t feel damaged or show any signs of damage which shows it’s durability especially for the price.
Sleeping Bag:
Many people tend to overspend on a sleeping bag thinking more expensive will equal however this is all wrong. The Coolzon Sleeping Bag does the job so well and for the price, it is a no brainer. It’s by far the most popular sleeping bag on amazon and to have 9000+ reviews with 4.3/5 rating really speaks for itself. Though it’s not exactly designed for cold winters, for summer and autumn it is perfect. The zipper (which often breaks first in sleeping bags) is well-secured and hasn’t failed me. Pick it up whilst it’s still on sale.
Hiking Boots:
*30% sale*
Though I wasn’t going to initally include any pieces of clothing on the list; these Salomons are a must. On a 30% sale too, the value on these is incredible. They are truly designed for any condition. They do a great job of protecting your feet from the wet and remaining dry with it’s Gore-Tex Waterproofmembrane technology. They are certainly comfortable whilst remaining tight ensuring your foot stays in place. Up to now, the durability seems perfect as there hasn’t been any sort of issue after multiple trips.
Backpack:
The Eurohike Nepal Rucksack is the ultimate camping bacpack for me. The 65L is a perfect size for multi-day trips in my opinion. It includes a padded hip belt which is always very useful to distribute weight evenly, reducing discomfort. It is very well ventilated which very strongly reduces sweat which you guys know how uncomfortable it can get with an overly sweaty back. The storing compartments are exaclty how I like with a main one along with front and side pockets that are all easy to access. In addition, it has loops for hiking poles if that’s something you use.
Cutlery:
Not much to say for cutlery. This what I use and it does it’s job. It’s nice that it comes with a bottle opener especially if you want to crack open a nice, cold beer. I prefer using steel cutlery then plastic alternatives purely for environmental factors.
